Prostand once again demonstrates its social and environmental commitment through the initiative Reborn Together – The second life of Prostand materials
This umbrella covers three highly valuable initiatives: Solidarity Parquet, Solidarity Garden and collaboration with the Friends of the Yellow Submarine Association. These projects, focused on sustainability and solidarity, embody a circular economy model in which end-of-life materials and resources find new uses, transforming them into opportunities for inclusion and rebirth.
• With Solidarity Parquet, used parquet flooring from stands and coloured paint residues are recovered to improve the homes of people and families in need. In collaboration with the Pope John XXIII Association, this project not only reduces waste but also offers concrete help to those in need.
• The Solidarity Garden is part of a larger initiative: Rimini’s Inclusive Green Area. Here, people with mental disabilities work in the gardens, developing skills and reconnecting with nature. The project, carried out with the Crescere Insieme Association and the Mille Piedi Cooperative in collaboration with the Municipality of Rimini, promotes social inclusion and personal growth, demonstrating how working with the earth can be a tool for redemption and well-being.
• Completing this picture is the collaboration with the Amici del Sottomarino Giallo Association. This association stands out for its strong social commitment to people in need, including the homeless and immigrants. Prostand supports Amici del Sottomarino Giallo by donating wood and parquet flooring, which are recovered for two purposes: on the one hand, they are transformed into tables and shelves to furnish the homes of people assisted by the association’s volunteers; on the other, used to enrich the exhibits at “Esperienze al Cubo”, the interactive museum in Viserba (RN) that offers innovative recreational and educational spaces.
These initiatives are a concrete example of how Prostand integrates environmental sustainability with social responsibility, demonstrating that reuse is not only an ecological value, but can also become a driving force for solidarity capable of generating a positive impact on people and the community.
